It’s a lousy night to be an Atheist…
I hope that you watched the Home Run Derby Monday night. It was amazing to watch 2 things happen:
- 71 year old Cary American Legion Coach Clay Council pitch to Josh Hamilton.
- Hamilton crushing pitch after pitch (28 Home Runs) into areas of Yankee stadium that rarely see a batted ball.
There was a subplot that happened during the derby that I am not sure everyone heard.
ESPN commentator, Rick Reilly, remarked,
"Here's the story of a cocaine and heroin addict who found religion, had a dream, and came here to Yankee Stadium...it's a, it's a lousy night to be an Atheist."
There are many ways to interpret Reilly’s comment. Here is mine; look at Hamilton’s life away from God, and now, that he walks daily with God.
Proverbs 14:12 (New International Version)
There is a way that seems right to a man,
but in the end it leads to death.
What do you think?
