And why would that stop you from coming to me?
My family watched Prince Caspian over the Christmas break. There was one scene (included in this post from youtube) that stuck out and has made me go back to it several times.
Lucy has been the only one to see Aslan and her brothers and sister are questioning if she really saw him.

TNC History: Our first service
In December of 2006, we had our first Christmas Eve service at Lake Benson Park prior to our official launch in March. But, did you know that we had what I consider our first service a couple weeks prior to Christmas Eve?

The dirty dish fairy
A funny thing happened to me yesterday at work.
After lunch, I was in a rush and left a dirty dish in my office. When I returned from a meeting, it was no longer dirty. I'm not sure if it was washed or licked clean but I appreciate whomever did it.

Charlie Brown Christmas
I watched Charlie Brown Christmas Tuesday night. I was glad I did because I forgot that there is a really great scene in the show. Charlie Brown becomes very discouraged with the commercialization of Christmas. He finally shouts out in exasperation "Isn't there anyone who knows what Christmas is all about?" Linus gives him the answer.

Josh Hamilton is second
Jon pointed out the I am second web site in his post today. I just watched the Josh Hamilton video. His story continues to make my hair stand on end. It is an amazing story of God's grace. God is always waiting for you to come to Him. I encourage you to watch the video to the end and listen to the story about the two dreams he had.

Christian T-Shirts
Yes, I have a few of them. And, people give them to me as gifts.
Some of them I like but some of them go straight to Goodwill.
I'm talking of course about Christian T-shirts that mimic commercial procucts.
Here are a few for your viewing pleasure.

Crazy Christian products

I wrote a post last week about Christian stuff that makes you uncomfortable. One of the replies was Testamints.
That response made me think of all the weird Christian products out there.
Here is a quick list I found in case you need a last minute Christmas gift.

Mmmmm, donuts…
Donuts return this Sunday at 9:30am in the theater lobby. Use them as an incentive to invite a friend along as we start the All I Want for Christmas is... series. Also, check out the calendar for times and locations of the middle school and high school Christmas parties Sunday evening.

Christian stuff that makes you uncomfortable
I attended a Promise Keepers convention a few years back. Roughly 12,000 men are sitting in the RBC Center waiting for things to start. So what are 12,000 Promise Keepers to do to fill the time?

Christmas checklist
Do any of you make checklists? Our family does. We make a list of tasks and when they get finished we check them off. Once a year, we make the Christmas checklist. It covers a lot of things.
- Gift shopping
- Parades

- The tree
- Groceries
- Baking
- Cards
- Parties

Also, celebrate with us outdoors on Christmas Eve at Lake Benson Park. This is our third year at Lake Benson and is becoming a wonderful Christmas tradition.

Remix: Was God fair to Judas?
I was looking at the blog stats today and saw that this original post (one of the very first) was viewed only once. So I thought I would spruce it up a bit and see if it sparks some debate.
Matthew 26
20 When evening came, Jesus was reclining at the table with the Twelve. 21 And while they were eating, he said, "I tell you the truth, one of you will betray me."
22 They were very sad and began to say to him one after the other, "Surely not I, Lord?"23 Jesus replied, "The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will betray me. 24 The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born."
Jesus said some tough things, 'Lose your life', 'Gouge out your eye'. Judas Iscariot, who had followed Jesus for 3 years of his life is told 'better for him if he had not been born.'
